Did you read everything on the wiki?
And then read all the notes in the dwarf raws?

Best to mention if you've already read the basics and still need a tutorial or people will just dismiss your question with a wiki link.

There are question threads in the mods section where experienced modders will explain what you're doing wrong. But, yeah, one day someone might write a guide with several step by step examples. That would be helpful. Takes time though.
