interesting artifacts...
« on: April 20, 2008, 12:38:00 pm »

im really enjoying the sweet artifacts im getting in my fortress here...

first artifact was kinda lame, an ashen mini forge....

but the second one was awesome:
oracleseared the bald oar: a tetrahedrite door - tetrahedrite encrusted with tetrahedrite bands, spikes of copper, and a tetrahedrite engraving of a dwarf holding up the ashen mini-forge that was my first artifact

then i got this:
oilbeaches the misty parity of councellors, a cave spider silk hood - encrusted with tube agate, cave spider silk rings, rhesus macaque leather bands, and spikes of diorite

then a boring bone opal ring

then i got curlgorges, a diorite coffer, encrusted with diorite, decorated with goblin bone and cave lobster shell, bands of native gold and dog bone, rings of goblin bone, and spikes of tetrahedrite and rope reed.

my next one i laughed HARD at...
"Plaitedthins, the fragment of flushing" a DOG BONE PICK!    its not that good, but its hilarious that its made out of dog bones and can carve stone.

then i got a boring diorite earring..

but this last one is sweet...

"The Tapered Root" a native gold bed!   decorated with maple and lobster shell, spikes of rainbow trout bone and cow leather, image of dwarf and dwarves in native gold, the dwarves surrounding the dwarf.   AND an image of a cedar in purple spinel..   AND A THIRD IMAGE of a native gold bed in lobster shell!

so i now have a bed, coffer, and door that are perfect for making a grand bedroom for a noble!

Give it to your mayor. You never know when he needs to put down an overly-excited Hammerer...

I had a series of artifacts which each had an image of the previous artifact for awhile, out to like four artifacts I think.

Somebody just made an iron thong that menaces with spikes of iron and has an image on it of a screaming dwarf(reference to 5 of my original 7 being butchered by the fire imps i guess). Name's Ponderedoaks incase you were wondering.

I posted it here because it's the first 1 item artifact i saw that was made out of metal.

Possesion so i don't have any cool metalcrafter to show.

I thought you said spikes of rainbow.  I was like, wow, those dwarves are good at craftsmanship.

My weirdest artifact combo were first a Jade Hatch Cover and then a Sphalerite bucket...So I just combined them to make the world's first and spikiest toilet. The next artifact was a bow, which i promptly flushed.
