Eh? as a solo player last season I could have gotten over 200,000 robits if I bothered to make a solo clan.  That's enough to get two modules, two legendary weapons, or a set of mega movement parts.

Last I'd seen you were required to have 10 people to be a legal clan.

The team that makes robocraft is remarkably good at finding ways to ruin it every time I find it fun. Guess I could give it another shot, though, see if it is any fun now.

Oh, I don't care about losing all that much. I mean more mechanically fun. Engaging, multiple valid builds, fun fights, stuff like that.

So they've finally added robits to the crates...as a random drop.

They can't even do small things without messing with them, can they.

Robocraft just went to 1.0 today. I decided to log in and discovered they had given me like 25 of the highest tier loot chests for having been around during early access.

Which was cool, but sadly the game hasn't gotten any more fun for me. I really enjoyed it a lot more when you had like 10 bots on each side instead of these 5 on 5 battles.

They changed some stuff and my Frigate design is a bit unstable now. I'd take the time to fix it, but I don't really want to play so I don't see much point.

Man that's a real shame they went 1.0 for release, always was hoping the past year that maybe they'd look at their actual reviews and realize they fucked up and maybe change it. But I guess the days of old robocraft are over.

Aye. I was impressed by the amount of robits I got from my early access crates, and I messed around with the new things, which work alright...but it didn't really keep my attention as much as it did before.

I recently started playing this again. It's definitely a different game than it was, but I don't mind it too much. The balance can be a bit funny, though.

Last time I played was several months ago, for about a week. My old design from way back when was still viable (square armored blimp with thrusters). Wonder if that's still the case.

Blimps are out of style, but pure thruster ships are still fairly good. Actually, air is really strong right now - they prevented air from being able to use AA (because otherwise ground was fairly useless) and a recent update's sole purpose was slowing down heavier planes. And air is still good enough that it's practically a requirement to have AA (either flak cannons or rail guns) or else your team will be completely destroyed.

It's not a blimp, it's a ship with thursters that go up. Think: MechWarrior-style dropships. And it turns out it does OK, actually...
