I'll have to admit defeat here. Wanna try the other rule now? 12, you go first.

Finally have a game completely ready. Wait a week before posting it out of laziness.

Very well. I currently think that player 2 wins this variation with optimal play, but here I go.

OOOOOOO OOOO

This seems a good move.

Edit: Maybe player one does have an advantage, thinking deeper into it.

Edit2: Yeah I'm probably overthinking this, p2 should win in my theory.

I'll take two number nine's the middle two tokens.

Edit: I'm pretty sure copying/mirroring moves is a win for me if this continues.

O OO OO O

Never mind my initial assessment was correct (or my first move was awful, which seems likely.)

Then again you could miss the best move. Believe me that no matter my choice, you have a perfect winning strategy. Or I could be hilariously wrong and missed something obvious. In any event well played. Let's continue this game though of course.

If I take #2, you could take one from the second pair and end up winning. If I take 2 and 3, you can take 4 and 5, winning.

I'll take #1

Precisely. My move.

OO OO

In retrospect, I should have taken two tokens to make the following shape when I could have. So yes I did miss something obvious.
