Where (and when) should this new game be set?

Now,  while the City burns, In the throngs of the Angel's  blaze (would be a continuation of the original AOF story)
- 1 (5.6%)
Away, in another City, with legends of their own (would be a completely new game)

I'll be starting the OOC thread in a couple of hours,  but before we begin,  I have  a couple  of  questions.

Dice Rolls:  Yea, or Nay?
Turn Length: The original game turns were  the Spring and Fall of each year.  I was going to change this, and make each turn (roughly) a month. If anyone has problems, please PM me.

Dice Rolls: Yea. They were used in the last game effectively.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

I'm interested in joining, but not having been a player, I can't really comment on the game structure as to what's best.

Dice rolls I'm ambivalent about, use them as you will.

Turn length, also your prerogative.

It's real nice seeing this, gotta say. I feel pretty honored.
For dice rolls, I'd say it's your own judgment. I did hear a good technique, where you roll a 1d4 to choose between what would be the most obvious, the most challenging, the most pleasing, or the most surprising for the player.
For time, definitely go with months. Hell, maybe just make it vague. Seasons didn't work at all and I eventually dropped them, because the players move much faster in an Age of Fire game than they do a Godhood game.

The pleasure is mine. If you ever want to Co-GM, just ask.
