Having trouble installing Dwarf Fortress on Linux Computer
« on: April 15, 2017, 08:32:12 pm »

Hello, I have a Chromebook with Linux on it, and I believe I have everything ready for Dwarf Fortress to run, but when I attempt to run it, an error pops up, GLIBC_2.18 not found; and GLIBC_2.17 not found. I have attempted to update libc6 multiple times, but it refuses to download any version above 2.14. Any ideas of how to get this working?

It must be a pretty old Ubuntu release, like 11 maybe. You should ask at a Ubuntu forum, but it seems to me you need upgrade to a newer Ubuntu release. (Looks like at least 14: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+package/libc6 )
