Then, a voice calls out to you. Soft. Gentle. It speaks with incomprehensible wording.

Primordial energy invades your being. Pain. Feeling. Pleasure. Sensation.

Is this...

Your fragmented thoughts swarm together as one. Anger. Sorrow. Happiness. Love.

Your mind is stretched across one thousand moments in time, and your body one thousand light years of space.

Then, like a rebound from a rubber band, you're flung through reality. Shapes begin to take form. White, fluffy shapes. Clouds? You recognize them. A vast expanse of green and blue grows ever closer. The air curves around your face.

You are falling.

Your body begins to take form. You are no longer energy, but organic matter.

Crash!!!

You land on the planet in a ball of fire. The surrounding area is slightly scorched and crater-like. A few stray plants are alight with bright, orange, flickering flame.

Your new form; alien, yet somehow familiar. You struggle to stand, talons pressing against the ground. This body is not your own; it is the body of a great mythical bird. A sensation similar to that of when your consciousness took form emanates from your feathers, as if it's drawing... something in from the surroundings.

Brushing aside the odd sensation (of which you have no idea which feather it seems to be coming from, as you have no mirror), you examine your surroundings. You're currently in a vast, green plain. To the north are great, distant mountains, and to the north east, a distant village. The great plain stretches in all other directions, seemingly without end.
