Hi all, I have a slow-going fort where I dwarfed DF redditor's user names in, as my thanks to the community for their help and entertainment/FUN. I only have three in-game years in this fort, but it takes a lot of organisation to tell each dwarfed redditor's stories and Reddit isn't the best place to share ongoing fort story, so I took a redditor's advice to migrate the stories here. That being said, I'm open to dwarfing you lovely forum people too, since I still have plenty unnamed.
I'm a casual player who likes to play the fort my own way, so I'm just here to open my dwarves up for naming, and I'll report back how the named dwarves are going in my sessions. You can make suggestion on what you want your dwarf to achieve, and I'll try my best to cope, but no promises.
Some info about my fort, including Masterwork exclusives for those not familiar with the mod:
In MW, whatever you can make in carpenter, you can make the same stuff with stone, bone and rough gem. This includes beds, tables and thrones.
In MW, there're two special gems that act as a portable aquifer: Blood of the Mountain for magma and Tear of the Mountain for water. At the moment I have two BotM, one being used, another is in my gem QSP.
Current population cap is 80. Mountain home has offered to nominate a baron. I passed this year, which means I'll wait for one of you to put your hand up to be the baron.
I disabled the custom creatures from MW to prevent confusing myself with too many types of animals. So all creatures are vanilla.
In MW there is pseudo economy, where you can buy and sell things via special workshops that take gold coins as the reaction reagent.
In MW you can also use gold coins to force summon migrants and caravans. However I've never received a human/elf caravan, despite them being on the list of neighbours when I embarked. I tried force summoning human caravan and it works. They just never come on their own.
I have not exported the legends. Happy to share if any of you are interested. That might answer the above point.
First Reddit post with the first dwarfing waveYear 128 - Second WaveI'll keep updating this top post with future fort updates.
