Austria replies that if Germany and itself go to war, then after each side has destroyed the other's forces Russia will simply be able to mop up the pieces.

Germany states that it is far more likely to survive than Austria, and is more than willing to deal with the russians diplomatically. Hence the fat that the austrians should play the waiting game while Germany and it's allies deal with the french & possibly spanish rather than trying to sieze northern italy.

France asks the Germans why they think the Russians will agree to a peace given their clear military superiority at this juncture? They also request that the troops used in any invasion of Austria be taken from the German-French border, rather than that with the Russians.

The germans respond that they'll only withdraw troops from the border in the event of an alliance in order for everyone to work towards a common goal; the containment and disarmament of the russian empire.

The King of Italy curses the misfortune and unprovoked aggression that led to his nation's utter destruction. Though in his heart he wishes he could call upon his loyal subjects to resist, he knows it is futile, and would bring only greater harm to the Italian people. He asks only that his countrymen be treated with dignity, and that their courage be remembered by those noble allies who sought to defend them in time of need.

Spain sends hugs (and wishes the King a Happy Valentine's day) all the while being OKAY with the Italians under the Spanish flag [their flag is over there too, though].

The Austrian nobility sends the Italian nobility a fruit basket. The fruit basket contains a wide arrangement of exotic fruits, fine Austrian chocolates, and a small bomb with the words "No hard feelings" hastily scrawled across it.

Declare war on Italy.
1 Army from 48 to 40.
1 Army from 40 to 62.
Build a railroad in 41.
Build academies in 40, 41, and 47.

Offer a military alliance to the Ottomans, for they surely see that the vile Russians must be coming for them next.

Spain has noticed Austria! Spain wonders if them and the Germans are okay with talks! Because the Germans seem very much like Spain!

The Ottomans refuse to accept the offer of Alliance if Italy is going to be invaded.

Russia is very upset that everyone seems to be uniting against it. Those huge swathes of land are desolate and most definitely can't support any military units.  Not at all.

Spain receives word of upset Russians! Spain sends consolations and greetings from a Europe away! Hello Russians! Spain does not know of their worries yet. :D

Austria realizes that its attack on Italy might not have been the brightest idea.

Austria has edited its action, but still sends Italy the fruit basket.
lol nvm

@Austro-Hungary:

The desperate Austrians mercilessly stomped upon the Italian soil, taking over the defenseless but juicy plots of land and evicting King Emmanuel from his possessions forever.

On the engineering front, the engineers in Budapest had to inform the Emperor that they've already spent all their resources on the Railroad and therefore they couldn't build the Academy there as well.

Spain is somewhat sad of no response from the Ottomans and currently spends their current day doing many things of common value, such as balancing the stock markets and managing their resources all around, alongside helping out the Italians with their daily tasks.

With the sudden and unexpected illness of Enver Pasha leading to temporary paralysis in the higher echelons of government and precluding his continued leadership, Ahmed Izzet Pasha has been recalled from Yemen and directly appointed as his replacement as Minister of War.  The sudden shift in government has also resulted in the fall from grace of Enver Pasha's fellows in leadership and a transition in authority back to the Sultan, the Grand Vizier, and the new Minister of War.
