No capslock is not on, and yes I press shift first and hold it while pressing s. Then I sneak. Also I always aim my strikes and I understand the basics of that. but how can you tell what equipment someone is wearing? nevermine, figured that bit out.

and I am playing human right now just to get the basics and everything figured out, I feel they might not be big enough for that wrestling tip lol. And I havent even seen a megabeast in adventure mode yet lol, even if I have armor goblins will slaughter me and my companions.

Humans are very good for wrestling elves, goblins and dwarves, so worst case you can just choke them all out.
