Delivery App
« on: December 19, 2016, 03:39:11 pm »

So I make money by delivering, food 99% of the time, via several apps. (Do you?)

Anyway I just wanted to carve out a public space on the internet for...

The Best Delivery App
...idea(s)

Best driver experience. Best customer experience. That is the goal.

1. Driver owned
Drivers can become an owning member someway, not too hard like after time, number deliveries, or perhaps a monitary investment withheld from a paycheck. This would have the best mojo and least blame and finger pointing built-in, as failings are really our own fault. For development, the driver body would hire a team based on their application, and they'd be payed from money set aside for such things. Smaller than the regular royalties because it's only going to people that are actively improving the app, not owners.

The ability to opt-in to see other drivers and have your location shown. This is a big one to make sure you're not overlapping.

Ability to switch between biking, a car or other vehicles. Ability to switch cities.
Ability to schedule a shift or just turn on and go.
Ability to set a maximum distance willing to drive, or areas not to go.
Ability to get priority to a destination: so you could take a job on your way home for example.

There's lots of apps with some of these features. But none have them all and they will crush the competition and dominate when they put this into an app.

If you are not a driver, do you ever use these to order food? If not what could an app do to get you to want to use one? If you already are what would make it better?
