Twas the night before update,
When all thru bay12 not a member was posting,
Not even an elf!!
The goblins were caged over the magma with care,
In hopes that the Toady One would post something, somewhere
The children were all burrowed,snug in their beds,
While visions of daycare dodged through their heads.
With Thisfox in her kerchief, and Meph in his cap,
They had just shutdown their computers for a nice cool nap.
When up on the main page arose a new post!
We sprang from our threads to see what it was.
Away to announcements we flew a flash,
Clicked on the link and sat back agahst.
When what to our wondering eyes did appear?
Twas a new update, after many a long year,
HURRAY!! 40.01 was here!!
With new trees and many bugs fixed,
We thought for a moment it must be a trick!!
More rapid than kobold thieves the updates, they came,
As Toady posted them, he called them by name!
Now 40.02, now 40.03, now 40.04 and 40.05! Now 40.06,now 40.07
23 so far, have we gone to heaven??
To the top of you're volcano,
To the tops of you're walls,
The beasties now climb, trying to kill you all!
As I looked to my left, the first time I found,
A picture of Toady and boy was he round!
He had a broad face and a fat little belly, he was chubby and plump-a right jolly old elf! I laughed when I saw him in spite of myself
With a click of his mouse he finished the 40.23 thread,
Letting us know lots of bugs are now dead! He spoke not a word, but stayed at his work, and filled all our harddrives with his lifes work.
I swear I heard him exclaim ere I posted this pun,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL SOME !!FUN!!
