phantom pain?!
« on: November 24, 2016, 11:03:16 am »

Hey guys. straight to question:

to me it looks like the left lower arm was hacked off. after that my dwarf hacked his left hand off?! i mean... bug or feature?! :D

urist ihackevenseveredlimbs or just strange stuff? i mean it reads in the battle log so i understand this as "the left lower arm was hacked off (the goblin) AFTER THAT the left hand was hacked off (the goblin, not the already-hacked-off-arm, right?!)... i mean it wouldnt read the hacking of the already-hacked-off-arm as a battlelog because the arm isnt an enemy any longer right?

have a dwarfy one.

"Cloven asunder" does not mean the body part was severed, just that it was mangled beyond recognition - if it had been severed, the combat message would have said "and the severed part sails off in an arc".

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

is it wrong to have a need to say this?
.... because the arm isnt an enemy any longer right?
You can never be sure!! Throw it in the magma!

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

I'll try this on adv. mode. I mean, you can sever off something's neck and if you raise it it still has its head attached, so maybe its possible to do something like what you thought happened here.

I'll let you know what I find out.
