There's no harm in starting a thread for it. Took a few weeks for the one I ran to fill up.

RattyB may want to change the title for this thread though, as any new moderator won't be able to lock this thread for night-time.

I'll moderate when I've got a lesser load of actual games written up and I've written a full set of flavor.
Also seeing as this thread died, I doubt the other would start quickly.

Having a thread start quickly is very good for thread activity, as it guarantees that all of the players are there and still interested at the time that the game begins.

I could possibly run the BM. Before we get to that, though, I would like to discuss alternate BM setups.

It would also possibly mean the delay of my second BYOR. Possibly.

I'm up for running as the mod of the next BM if people find their slots lacking--Ratty, you could join in as a player if you'd like, but I'm all for mechanical/technical support here.

Something with watchers and trackers.

Something like 5 vanilla town, 2 watcher/tracker, 1 mafia watcher/tracker, 1 mafioso.
Dual roles won't help much as it's working with an unknown variable better saved for vanilla game play :P What is important is for folks to learn how to deal with fundamental roles--the possibility of cops and otherwise, as these roles have quite a larger cognitive impact on people due to it interfacing with the base mechanics of the game rather than 'actions'.

I would think that a mafia watcher/tracker might work better than a mafia role cop - keeping the town roles as a cop and/or jailor - as that way the mafia don't know which power role they've found.

Just to make sure you understand what I mean: when I say watcher/tracker I mean a role that is either a watcher or a tracker, chosen randomly when the game starts.

I can see that. However, the watcher/tracker thing... how do I put this... they're better at teaching the newbies detective work and fake claiming?
