Re: Fallacy's Titans of Creation 1 (5/5): Age Two... or two parts of it.

FallacyofUrist finally began to write upon the incredibly detailed creations of Draignean.

The first and most central of Draignean's creations was Oblus, the alternate plane of the forgotten and the shadow. Oblus was an alternate plane, a world unto itself, connected to the main world through forgetfulness. Whatever in the "real world" was completely forgotten would eventually slip into Oblus, from locations, to items... to people... to immaterial concepts. Whatever was forgotten would also carry with it a sort of energy when it entered Oblus, which would be the food of its inhabitants.
The true reality of Oblus was far too much for FallacyofUrist to chronicle in a single record, but he resolved to make much mention of it in the Vignettes.

This reality, Oblus, came with it a unique sentient species, the Ko'Va, amphibious aquatic insectoids practically obsessed with knowledge from the important to the petty. Suffice it to say their society was interesting, especially factoring in their powers over memory.

((I don't think I can do your creation justice in my own summary. Though it may not have a length proportional to how much information exists about your creations, I will write several "vignettes", or short passages(did I spell that right?) to bolster the world building here.))

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

((Sorry, would you rather I write slightly less detail into my things?))

A: "No, not particularly."

((no, this is wonderful. It just means I'll have to incorporate it over time rather than all at once.))

Fallacy continued writing on the creations of Draignean.

Draignean's next creation was a magic system, Eska. By splitting the mind into pieces and making the individual pieces able to completely believe or disbelieve something a whole mind would consider differently, the practitioners of this strange magic were capable of easy travel between Oblus and the material plane, teleportation, and materialization of objects within Oblus(though with difficulty). Sadly, insanity was often the result of the use of this magic, for fairly obvious reasons.

Could Draignean's next creation truly be considered mundane? Though Filchers may have seemed less incredible than Draignean's other creations, this was not the case. Filchers, were, in essence, a catch-all for creatures within Oblus that could assist the process of a forgotten object moving to Oblus. The Filcher that preformed said assistance would then feed off the transition's energy. They came in three general categories: flits, snipes, and lurks, each much more potent than the last. Lurks were even capable of stealing children, if rarely, resulting in a process of "marking" in which Tontals and Lagerie would mark children with a pungent substance from an Art-Coral, making them hard to be forgotten due to the smell(and making them easier to keep track of, as a side effect). ((I would have gone with the bell, but there is literally absolutely no landmass in the world so far. I don't think I could hear a bell underwater.))

Draignean's final creation, for the moment, was Dreamsilver, a liquid that was, in effect... liquid importance. Though its properties were incredible, its use was widely considered "cheating" by most sentient beings, and as such, received a ban. That did not relieve all the temptation to acquire some and use it, however, for struggling artists... and cultists of Ancient Ones, who frequently made use of it to gather more cultists.

((I'm thinking of creating an artifact that can "feed" Caritoss and the Filches, satiating their hunger to the point that they find it difficult to eat normally for a while.

Though it might work better as a plant species or something. Mmm))
