"Lords of Xulima is an original Fantasy RPG set on the mythical continent of Xulima, where Gods and humans once walked side by side. Become the Herald of the Gods and travel to an uncharted land to fulfill your mission of restoring balance in the known world."

You control a party of adventurers which can be any of a good number of classes. They can learn skills like detect trap, lockpick, identify item, weapon masteries, etc. Stats are pretty generic: strength (phys dmg), constitution (hp), agility (evade/accuracy), speed (initiative/extra turns), energy (mana). Some items require stat combinations or weapon mastery levels.

Combat consists of a front line and a back line. Goblin D can't attack the mage hiding behind your fighter, but Goblin Archer B can. Your bard's songs won't effect the right side of the party if he's positioned on the far left side. Your barbarian can't hit a goblin on the right while standing on the left. Back row is forced to the front if the front moves or dies. Lots and lots of status conditions, debuffs, buffs, damage types, gimmicks, savescumming, and so on. The trick is to find enemies who aren't too difficult for you before attempting stuff that is too difficult, even if that ogre is blocking the path. Enemies are stationary on the map and symbolize a group encounter. "Areas" also contain random encounters pokemon grass style. But the random encounters are finite. Killing them all gives bonus EXP.

I haven't gotten very far but from what I've seen, it's good fun. The writing isn't terrible. The voice acting isn't garbage. The models and animation are highly amusing. The game is pretty difficult starting out, I recommend buying basic armor for everyone as soon as you can afford it.

I've read that speed is a very important stat that you should take with every level up. I've also read that the bard is useless and the thief is amazing, but I wouldn't know. Not too thrilled with my bard at this point in the game.

The font I think yeah

As a side note, for anyone planning to try this game out (I recommend it if you're into the genre), definitely read up on class/stat/skill info BEFORE creating your party. Here are a bunch of guides. The one on the top is a good read. Otherwise you'll end up like me and start 5 new games over the course of a day.

I've beaten this game.

I recommend it if you enjoy suffering and losing the game.

A+, great hardcore game.
