Creating a play through series of dwarf fortress

Trying to aim it at people who have played and people who have not at the same time.  Trying a fast forward approach to show the time involved while not dragging on endlessly watching me assign tasks and chase Urist around the fortress all the time :P  Any thoughts on how I might appeal to new players a little more?

Tilesets, methinks. New players might appreciate it if they could actually see what's going on.

You can try StoneSense? I don't even that's even updated anymore, but it has nice iso rendering.

I don't think it is, I was looking for it because I loved that.  I always felt if that was more shown it might pique the interest of a lot more new players.  Or if you could assign tasks through that?  I guess I'm getting ahead of myself now lol.

I offered some redditors their names in the fortress as well to help build interest but that backfired when they all turned into werecamels and everything died lol
