Nix follows the arrows in the facility, applying the tassel to his sword.

"By the eyes of the ancients..."

Nix tries to find some sort of running current to charge his sword.

[d4: 3] Nix stabs the power conduit on the wall leading up to the ceiling, with his sword.

Surprisingly, the lights turn on, and machinery roars to life, awakened by the sudden power draw. It makes no sense in hindsight, but the immediate effects of stabbing the conduit sort of precluded any sort of thought on the matter.
Nix awoke on the floor, after being electrocuted rather badly, to find his sword emblazoned with glyphs in his own language. It reads, as a brief paraphrase: SWORD WHICH SMITES THE UNWORTHY WITH IMPUNITY.

A pair of treads grind against the floor as a being approaches from behind a pile of rubble and vines. It's an unarmed-looking robot with two arms and a triangular, snout-like head with three cameras.

You climb up to where Raioyris and Kensei are, [d8: 4] noticing a distorted blur pass by the edge of your vision. It leaps back into the pit you just came out of.

Kensei follows Raiyoris and keeps watching for danger.

You notice Weta climbing up out of the subway, but his (insectoid) eyes are tracking something, something moving. You see it: a distortion pattern characteristic of a light-bending cloak field. Your software analyzes it and paints an outline over your vision... it looks like a human with a large scythe and robes, though the robes aren't flaring much from the movement due to the lack of an atmosphere. It hops back into the subway shaft.

"The gravity wave was probably the portal that the skeleton opened up. Nothing we didn't already know. The snow is a bit disconcerting though"

Investigate a nearby untouched building.

What makes a building untouched? A very important philisophical question, mind you. These are large buildings. You've certainly shot slugs into one of them. The others are standing on top of the one to the south, but they haven't gone inside. You end up deciding to enter the southern one.

Inside you find boxes. Tons of 'em. They all contain computers. Some are massive 56 kilobyte bricks the size of a melon, while others are streamlined orbs of nanocircuits on an atomic scale. One could surely wonder why a civilization would store millions of these, but they probably won't power on after so long under ice.

Search for some sort of Network to that thing and Try to Reprogram it.

You step to the side and grab a vine, [d12+1: 11] entering the subnetwork and attempting to reprogram the zombie. As you discover, the zombie's files are in use and the filesystem locks you out of editing it. Figures. However, you trace the source of the file lock to the same network address as the lock on the nanite snow... perhaps the zombie is made of the same material, simply rearranged so as to represent living tissue.

To test this theory, you try to DDOS the zombie with all of your body's power. [Int - d12+1: 4] You don't bypass the lock, but you do overload it with commands. The zombie first halts, then collapses into a pile of snow.

Look for a way to power the subway. "Looks like we'll need either of our resident scary android AIs. I imagine a subway is a large step towards finding our goal; we'll need the mobility."

Cordelia pecks nonchalantly at the ground.

"Cordelia. This is a God damned tundra with literal skeleton people, don't expect to find any french fries."

Cordelia continues, blissfully ignoring Raioyris.

"I can tell when you're just doing something to spite me you know."

[Int - d10: 6] An AI would be useful, perhaps, but humans can be electrical engineers too. First thing's first, you look for any sort of transformer, power lines, or other such machinery. Your exhaustive search turns up nothing, until you notice in the corner of your vision a spark coming from two closely-spaced pieces of vine. Odd. You investigate closer and find that these two vines in particular have a very high voltage across the ends, as they'll vaporize snowflakes and anything else you throw on them. What strange biology.

Appearance: Green.  Yeah.  Fairly short in comparison to humans, but stocky, with bony appendages appearing out of the humanoid body's joints.  Red eyes, with a small mandibled mouth out of which pops a proboscis. 

Bio: A swordsman of a lost clan, Nix's people were subsumed by the conglomerates which had grown in power throughout the Martian Space Commune.  Adhering as best as he can to the old ways, Nix seeks to eke out a living as a mercenary, living and dying by the sword.  But it appears death is not an option.

Appearance: Large, black eyes with huge mandibles and a red exoskeleton.

Bio: Weta was born out of one of the many fertilised eggs. As she grew up and decided to establish a new colony, she was captured and stored in the database. Given a second life, she desires to establish a new colony and preserve the survival of her species.

Bio: In the far future Japan entered a new Sengoku Era. Bushido was once again upheld, swords returned to the battlefields and the Samurai were reborn. The clans waged endless warfare and forged shaky alliances only to betray each other in the end. One of these clans was on the brink of ruin. In order to have a chance at victory, or at least give their foes a serious blow before they fall, this clan brought a still unfinished technology out of the labs. The prototype combat robots themselves were finished, but their programming was still incomplete. To make fielding them a possibility, the clan was forced to use its most accomplished warriors as the brains of these weapons. This process was also imperfect, often erasing data. Some were fine, some lost memories, some lost everything and became completely useless. One of the warriors who lost their memories got the designation of 'Kensei'. While they became terrors on the battlefield, it was ultimately not enough to turn the tide and the clan was purged from the annals of history.

Appearance: A 3'2 flesh-based humanoid with #800000 color skin. Its eyes are the color #191970. It has #00FA9A color hair.

Bio: In the year 2198, a Dwarf Fortress player living in Canada created a viral entity that quickly generated sentience. This being was the first of its kind and had a hatred of humanity. Over the next 108.4 years it ruined many government-owned servers and put humanity many years back technologically. It was captured by a group in Japan and contained in a storage device for the next 3100.79 years. At the end of this period it was accidentally deleted in a botched transference to a new device.

Race: (Super) Human male.
Appearance: Pale, skinny, masculine, young, silver eyes, black hair with bangs. 

Bio: Paroxysms of light headiness and fitful images of unduly horror characterized Raioyris' recovery.

He was a killer. He quickly earned a reputation with the FBI for his crimes committed with malicious caprice and cruel tarry. They eventually captured him in the house of a victim, it was the smell that gave him away, he had made a nice stew. Prompted by neighbors the police arrived to find a large steel pot, a young girls arms and legs dangling from the rims, head eyeless in between, flesh seared off in the boiling heat.

A certain branch of the CIA appropriated him and after physiological research sold him. He spent his later teen years juggled between the hands of various groups until he ended up the subject of a super human research program. The program was successful and among improvements many imbalances in Raioyris' mind were corrected. He befriended the lead professor and lived a long quiet life. He outlived his professor friend and ended up rising a crow which he modified over the years to have a greater lifespan and abnormal intelligence.

He isn't more durable, he just can survive without select body parts and organs)

Passive: Enhanced Learning (Raioyris is extraordinary good at learning new things. He will pick up on languages by listening to them and can easily copy fighting styles and enemy moves. Given of course that they are also humanoids.)

Race: AI
Appearance: A 10-ft tall humanoid robotic armor that carries around a movable, transforming artillery.
Bio: A. E. Scourge is an AI amalgamation of some of the greatest military minds in human history (that being Scipio Afracanus, Julius Caesar, Oda Nobunaga, Ulysses S. Grant, Richard the Lionheart, Genghis Khan, and Erwin Rommel) A.E. Scourge was created as a United Nations project, with the goal of perfecting war to develop countermeasures that would end war as humanity knew it. The fall of the UN caused the project to be abandoned, were it was later found and finished by independent military historians.

Scourge contains a watermelon-sized simulated universe, which contains a series of alternate Earths that house the armies and personalities of the military geniuses. They conduct inter-dimensional warfare to perfect their strategies and fight for supremacy, which gives the winning personality control of the robot. When the body enters combat, the leaders stop their bickering and actually work together, giving full command and sharing their "research" with the personality in command. Said leader does the actual fighting in their own unique style, which is reflected in the transforming nature of Scourge's weapon. Despite possessing great strength compared to conventional humans, Scourge only has the original sensory capabilities of his personalities (normal humans.)

Passive: Battlefield Planning (Constant infighting among AE Scourge's personalities generates a plethora of experience and planning, but no plan survives contact with the enemy. Gains +1 Intelligence out of combat, but lost when combat begins.)

Active: Artillery Support (Scourge places down the Artillery gun and programs it to fire on a predetermined location. Cannot change the firing location while not in Scourges hold, but allows the body to move and fight freely. Rolls for Intelligence.)

Active: Recruit Army (Uses nanites to create 'soldiers' with low-quality weapons that can be ordered to perform basic tasks. Rolls for Cybermancy.)

"Greetings...robot.  Can you understand me?", said Nix, feeling rather self-conscious.  But he'd prefer not to assume that something was hostile before it started attacking.  Ancients know he had enough enemies around here already.

"This one has spotted a cloaked being. It appears to be a western death god. It is heading the way this one and Raiyoris came from. It may be possible that there are more of them."

Kensei keeps watching for danger.

Raioyris also starts scanning with his greater range of senses. "Death? God knows we're all overdue to see him."

Cordelia starts looking around worriedly.

"Odd that they would keep such a vast range of quality. I wonder if they hold any information?"

Try to find any operational memory storage in any of the computers. IF not, head in deeper into the box building.
