The bugger is  probably a surly one, and as dwarobaki said, will probably be happy about being in arguments. It's not that unusual for one or two grudges among the starting 7, and I've never seen any actual problem arriving from it.

Some scholars get really high stress if they spend too much time with dwarves that argue all the time. Just keep an eye on the stress level if he keeps arguing with them in the library.

I was checking happiness once and saw a dwarf who was upset because of an argument.  Another dwarf was very happy because of an argument.  The jerk-dwarf continued to pick fights until i retired the fort.  I loved it.
