Mao is saddened by the Dried Rockorn and Rainbow Mushroom Soup. But seeing some Flying Spider, he feels his cooking spirit renewed. Yes. He has an idea.

Furthermore, he thought a lot after the Blueberry Buns. Spices was really important in asian cuisine, and spices wouldn't last forever... He had to experiment and find new flavors.

Procuring himself some Flying Spiders, he cleaned the body via an underside cut. Then making it marinate in some sauce of his own creation, he waited a few hours. When the Flying Spiders were brown and shining, he put them on a skewer and fried them.
He reused the sauce for those who would want to dip the Flying Spiders in it.

Mao then looked around for all kind of grasses, leaves, roots and plants he could find. Tasting them and selecting the more flavorful one to make a new sauce with them.

When he wasn't cooking, he kept training the few Cook-Fu enthusiasts left, believing some hidden talents may awaken.

Skills: Farming, Riflery.
Artifact: An ancient, antique hunting rifle, passed down through the generations. Based off of an old Austrian design, the short carbine combines stopping power and reliability into one deadly package.
Backstory: Virgil Bertrand. The infamous "ragin' Cajun." His vast swath of Louisiana Bayou is one of the most preserved places on Earth. The Bertrand's owned that plantation for hundreds of years snd, through generations of back-breaking labor, they secured a small fortune for themselves. One day, though, the government came and said they needed the land for construction, justifying it with eminent domain. Virgil fought tooth and nail to stop the project, and, with the backing of environmentalists, won. Unfortunately, his legal defense broke the bank, and pissed off the government. To pay off his debts, and get away from vengeful crony capitalists, he signed on as an agricultural expert for the new colony.
