Game of War - World War I, for France!
« on: May 21, 2016, 12:14:49 pm »

Game of War

It all started June 28. The  Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, this doesn't matter. What matters is what the assassination started. Nobody wanted it and we all just want to go back to our hometowns and rest. Not all will come back, not all will live...

It's September the 5th. Central Powers have just entered France from south-east. You have been ordered to command the troops of your countries in France.

If you want to know more about Game of War check this out. If you are not one of the players and you have a question about the games rules ask here. Please do not post here if you are not the player and it's not connected to the game.

The game will start when I'm sure all the players who signed up until now are still with us. Than I will randomly make to teams and the players will choose a leader and a cartographer, if they can't decide he will be chosen randomly. After all of the above things are done I will PM all the players with a link to the QuickChat topic used for your team discussion.

Players:
Ghazkull
Kashyyk
TopHat
tntey
Insanegame27
Free Space

If you are not a player but you want to watch the game including the hidden QuickTopic chats than write it in our "rule and game discussion" thread. Please do not post here! Than I will PM you with the QuickTopic chat. If you become a spectator please don't share the chat link with anybody else and don't write anything in the chat.

Spectators:

Please note that this game is not supposed to simulate real events of World War I. The below map might not be fully correct, cities might be placed a bit wrong and the distance measurement is not right.

Blank map we will be using:

Above map, but with labeled cities:

Map with cities, without city names:

Elevation (the roads and cities we don't have on the city map don't matter):

Here at Bay12 we excel at Theoretical Biology. Need to know the value of Merbone? Check. Need to know the density of a thrown Fluffy Wambler? Check. Need to know how a walking Mushroom can theoretically talk? Check.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.
