Trapdoor elephants? Just what we need, the diabolic things hide and ambush dwarfs anywhere. Maybe if they had some sort of magic in their tusks we could have them digging tunnels into weak points of our fortresses, such as bedrooms, in no time.   :)

Don't give them ideas

Although that could be useful once their tamed. Digging animals. Maybe like wurms.

Worms are highly armed vigilantes which we shove on serrated hooks.

Wurms on the other hand are massive armored monsters that dig underground only coming to the surface to eat the unsuspecting adventurer.
