Seed production

Is it just me, or does the still produce a ridiculous number of seeds?

As in, two plump helmets went in.  10 spawn came out.

...  not sure how it happened, but it's not happening again.  Now I'm only increasing my spawn by planting stacks of two (took a few plantings before I got *any* though)

Happens a lot for me. 2 Quarry bushes go in, 6 seeds come out, etc.
