Something is weird here. Either modding is afoot, or mooding is. Dwarves lack the knowledge to make these under normal circumstances, and yet they are "fit for dwarf" rather than goblin or elf.

The FPS counter is partially obstructing it, but that sure looks like an artifact name to me.

So to sum up, you have an artifact piece of clothing that is worth a lot of money... Doesn't seem so out of the ordinary to me.

I googled "braise" and meridian dictionary only refer to cooking.  Some websites links refer to it as medieval garments. So it's like a ladies' silk slip under skirts or something?

Essentially, "braise" are the middle-ages equivalent to boxer shorts:
