It appears quite a bit of time has past already, and you're almost surprised by the onset of night. The cold slows you down, and combined with your low energy it leaves you in a rather immobile state. You slowly fall away in a sleeplike state. The next day, as soon as the first light of the sun hits you, you reawaken and scitter over towards the webs. It appears that a single insect has gotten caught, and died in it's struggle.
You consume it, but find that it's death left little for you to assimilate. Presumably, other insects might get caught as well, and get stuck similarly, even if you're not around to actively care for it.

Current look: A strange green creature with a chitin chield, about the size of a large insect. It has moth wings, and tiny, almost ineffective legs. It observes the world through it's tiny insectoid eyes, and a long, curling proboscis. Beware it's webs and secretions.

Butterfly
- Cocooning : The butterflies lifecycle involves the creation of a cocoon, followed by the liquefaction of the form, and rearranging of body parts
- Proboscis : A long, coiled mouthpart, which can be extended to reach food
- Irriscendent layers : A complex interplay of light gives butterflies many kind of colours.
Don't forget there's a library near the OP at the beginning of the thread, where all the DNA is kept. This is just a buffer for new stuff.
I'm going to try slightly longer turns. So, feel free to give more commands.
So, I've been keeping the mechanics very abstract for now. Does this work for everyone, or would you like to see more numbers, such as specific costs for specific abilities and such?
