Necromoniconizing this to report that I got an email saying this went fully free. I don't entirely remember what you had to pay for, but it's all free now.

I'm kinda surprised I got the email. I haven't played since I've only ever played one game. :-\

Anyone still playing this?
The game feels like Aurora 4x but more graphical and multiplayer.
Messing around in Galaxy 355 and figuring things out.

Been in playing for 1 day in so not many turns yet.
1 hour ticks are kinda slow to my taste. The beginner server offers 10 min ticks but lacks players.
Looks nice and waiting once get to more advanced stuff.

This looks very interesting, I heard about it before and don't know why I didn't check it out.

That being said, I've played a few of these sorts of browser MMO style games and they all seemed great but fell down somewhere along the line - I don't know if any experienced players could give us a quick overview of what it's like/pros and cons?

Unless they've changed it, and it's been seven years so it good and well likely has, it has it's own downloadable client. But for all intents, it's pretty much a browser game.

Sadly, I cannot give any tips because, well, seven years. Fuggin' hell.

Unfortunately, I do not have the schedule that would allow me to play this game again.

Do you remember if it was fun at the time? I played a number of these kinda games (on browser instead of client, although it seems similar as you say) and they were alright, but never really did what they set out to do. I remember there was a vampire one which was great, but it just ended up being 'wait an hour->load page->click build a few times->click raid' after about a week.

A long term, super deep 4x is a dream of mine though, so I'll definitely be considering it. Just don't want to waste a week to find out it's completely flat.
