Is this a bug?

So i've been playing dwarf fortress not so long though but i recently got my first baron! and i'm not sure if i did it right
is this my mistake? is it a bug or is it supposed to be?

So here's what i did. The outpost liason came with trade caravan to my fortress and asked to make my fort a barony i answered yes ofcourse, but then i had to select someone
as baron/baronness I assigned my manager/bookkeeper/expedition leader (not mayor)

and then he left then i looked at my noble window and this appeared:



again is this a bug or supposed to be? help please, also the reason i didn't sent it to mantis is becuase i'm not sure if it's a bug as it's my first time getting a baron/baronness

What exactly is it that you think is a bug?

Your chosen dwarf for Baron has requirements linked to their position, as indicated by the red [REQUIRE]. Hit Enter on the relevant dwarf to have a read of the requirements. For a Baron, this means a bedroom, study, dining room and tomb of decent quality, with specific furnishings.

Oh, also, your mayor has a mandate that is close to expiring. Hit enter on them to see what it is. It might be worth meeting it to prevent a useful dwarf ending up punished for some reason...

The mayor had a ban of making leggings

But why is the person called "a barony"
is that supposed to be or? becuase it would be a little strange lol

Barony refers to your site. Barons rule a barony. Counts rule a county. Dukes rule a Duchy.

Do you mean a ban on exporting leggings? Or a request to make some? Mandates do not ban the production of items.

I think it was production order lol i forgot make leggings then i thought they couldn't make
