Replacing a tissue with a non-standard material?
« on: April 12, 2016, 05:55:48 pm »

Hey everyone, I could use a hand with something. I'm looking to replace the skin of a creature (such as a dwarf) with a strong/dense material, such as stone or metal. Normally I would look at pre-existing raws for hints but the closest I can find are Bronze Colossi and scaled creatures, neither of which work as Bronze Colossi have all of their tissues defined as bronze, not just one, and scaled creatures just remove skin and add in another standard layer, scales. I think I could just use [SELECT_MATERIAL:SKIN] and then just copy paste all of the properties from the desired material, such as density, shear strength and so on, and then rename it to [TISSUE_NAME:SKIN:NP] but I'm sure there has to be a shorter way to do this.

In short, how would I take a dwarf and give his skin the physical properties of obsidian but retain the ability to feel pain/heal/scar?
