Noob question on selecting a farm plot?
« on: April 05, 2016, 04:39:28 pm »

Hey all I get a farm plot down and then after my dwarf puts it down I hit the Q key and highlight the farm but then my up and down arrows dont let me select the crops. For example I when hit the down arrow it doesnt change from dimple to plumps. How do I change what crops to plant after highlighting my farm plot? Thanks...

Secondary selector (+/- by default, I think.) Up/down moves map cursor in Q mode.

(-) and (+). If arrows don't work, those should (I also believe there's something telling you that on the screen).

It takes a while to get used to the menus. It took me a long time to make this connection, but it seems in general that if you're able to move the map cursor while looking at the menu, then the selector changes to +/-.  Examples include farm plots, workshop queues and while viewing units.

Thank you all so much :)
BTW any way to que up items a few at a time as opposed to click make then item then do it all over again 5x to make 5 of that item? IE: Carpenters workshop A-add task bed then do that 4 more times or is there a way to do it faster?

You can use the manager to queue items, although it's quick enough to just a-b-a-b-a-b... (or scroll then a-Enter-a-Enter) any amount up to 10.

One way to achieve that is by assigning a (N) noble- manager and assigning him a table and chair set as an office for him. Then using (j) - (q) - (m) for manager queue and selecting what you want to have made. It has its downsides but I won't go into that here.

Oh looks like someone beat me. :0
