The terrifying forests of Üko embrace the seven founders who bravely climb the exceptionally high mountains in the year 126.
Their expedition leader insists on constructing walls instead of digging into the succor of the mountain. The days of labor resulted in the unguarded wagon raided by nine kobolds who cowardly ran away despite having the numbers and strength against the founders.
The thieves left the founders in despair along with most of the food. When winter arrived, no one had eaten nor had booze to drink for weeks. The cats were butchered for meat but it was no enough stave off one dwarf dying from starvation. It will not be long until the rest succumb to the same fate.
Sweet Armok of Miracles! Some migrants found their way to join our outpost, and their meager rations sustained the founders to witness the melting of snow and welcoming the season of spring.
Wisened from his folly, the expedition leader ordered an immediate digging for sleeping quarters. The completion of this task surge of energy was interrupted by a large creature with ivory tusks, a long snout, wrinkly gray skin, and bulk of an elephant. The were-elephant's red eyes were full of murder and began slaying everyone in the narrowly mined passage.
Grash Gyst, nimble as a kobold, slips past between the creature's legs and has a moment chance to run away from the mayhem. But dwarves are noble and brave, so Grash Gyst jumps on the were-elephant's back and punches the creature in the eye hoping to blind it. Instead, everything turns black.
Grash Gyst comes into consciousness in darkness, and hears bellows of laughs. He does not suffer in pain, but feels the hands of Armok molding him anew.
