With everyone saluting the two men act. While the heavyset officer only makes a sketchy motion towards his forehead and somehow manages to intensify his glower, the civilian gives a quick smile to the group before introducing himself and the officer. It turns out that both are incharge of the village and the surrounding area and have been appointed by the central government of Poland, with Major Aleksander Marszałek being head of military operations and he, Janusz Pokorny, being incharge of civilian operations.
He then inquires as to why this meeting was requested and, of lesser priority, why one of their soviet allies are with you.
The Captain glanced over at Lilya and then back towards Mr. Pokorny,
"Major, Mr. Pokorny. Thank you for seeing us." he offered a nod of gratitude before continuing, "As you know most of the major fighting forces in the area are little more than a shadow of their former strength. Sergeant Suchkova agreed to join my team when she became separated from her own unit. She's been very useful, especially when it comes to translation. I must admit the language barrier has been rather difficult. Now that the war is over we're just trying to find our way. We heard that you might be in need of extra hands though? We wanted to see what services we might be able to provide, and to see what the situation in the area was like in general. We've been travelling from the East and some areas are... having a rather rough go of it."[/i]
