Ah.. how long has it been now?
..
Since the last time you've had a warm shower?
..
When was it again..
..
That you wished someone a happy birthday?
..
how did it feel..
..
To hold something or someone dear in your arms?
..
How was it like..
..
When the world wasn't so broken?
-Fades to white-
The snow are a'falling, the streets, cold dead and littered. Despite the many.. many layers of warm cloths you have on you, you haven't been this uncomfortable since your SHD training days.
Food are running out, but water are still coming thanks to the abundance of snow to melt and the help of a very smart Giraffe that helped hooking up solar panels and wind-powered generators, but showers are still a luxury you can't afford. your fuel have long since depleted and your ammunition can be counted by the bullets.
Every day, it's getting harder and harder to keep the large crowd of survivors at Precinct 1 alive, each day more and more animals gets just a little more hopeless, just a little more hungry.
Things are bleak and hope is a rare commodity, you can see in the eyes of predators that they are fighting their own battles at every waking moment, horrors behind their glassy eyes as they realize just how delicious their neighbors look right now.
The ZPD have stopped sending officers out on scavenging missions after scavenging teams failed to return a few times.. they just can't spare any more officers and still hope to maintain any form of order around here. Civilization have already receded from the area around Precinct 1 to just only inside the wall itself. Where the snow and cold is all that is needed to keep bandits out.
Maybe the Government have fallen, maybe not.
This is why you're here, huddled around a barrel fire, a makeshift cart of junk and scrap metal made and ready. For what could pass as order, and for a promise of shared electricity from the Central Tower, you've been told of the wolves that lives in the old asylum across the small bridge. Acting President Bellwether have asked that you go and 'take care' of the wolves here that she claims to be harassing her tower, in exchange for more power to Precinct 1. Enough to melt so much snow that hot showers could be a thing again.
You could really use a hot shower..
a hot anything will do, really. The only thing that could warm your body is just melted snow and Alex's whisky.
But after yelling at the wolves for some times, they just seems like just a bunch of animals that wants to be left alone to their own doom. It could be a ploy, of course..
Well.. before you choose to risk a full frontal assault, at least you can talk it out, decides what to do..
Attacking the Central Tower isn't going to be any easier, either.
And if you die, then all those in Precinct 1 will surely be doomed. You don't think a lone Bunny Division Agent would be enough help, no offense to your operator, of course.
Where is everyone, are you here in the discussion? back at the base? what are you doing? what did you bring with you? what do you suggest the group do?
