Dreams have turned up occasionally in the emotion threads, but I haven't really seen any threads that specifically are for posting dreams, so I decided, why the hell not?
To kick things off, I'm going to post two dreams I remember in the past! They're basically the only two dreams I remember well enough to talk about, and they both happened this year! I guess I remember them because I typed them down on a Google Document.
NOTE: I may have misremembered some details of the dreams.
NOTE: You don't have to post your dreams if you don't want to. No-one's forcing you to do it (if someone
is forcing you, contact law enforcement or someone you trust).
Night of 1/17/2016 - 1/18/2016
This entire dream itself felt indistinct, like I was out of it the whole time, I may have known it was a dream but I’m not quite certain. It wasn’t lucid, at any rate.
In a bookstore. I’d never seen or heard of any of the books in the store. I don’t remember the titles of any of the books or their authors. I do remember that most of them were fantasy books.
I was then climbing a tree down onto some kind of tiled place, I think at an outdoor pool. I don’t remember anything between the bookstore and the tree.I think it was outdoors. There were a lot of caterpillars/worms/insect larvae, of various sizes and colors. None of them were moving. I was worried about stepping on them, but not disgusted by them the way I usually am of insects, bugs, and bug larvae.
I was then in a crowded place, waiting for something with my family. Then, a male zombie appeared among the crowds. It was difficult to tell it apart from a human, but somehow I knew it was a zombie and that it was dangerous, etc. It ignored everyone else and instead moved toward me, but I kicked it away before it grabbed me. I don’t remember seeing it get back up again. Everyone started heading for the exits/some place to hole up and wait it out. I don’t think anyone panicked or got hurt because I didn’t hear any screams or the sound of running. I then remember my family and I walking to a room at the front of a small crowd of people, and I think my dad got bothered by a couple of lying down mummies who grabbed at his feet. Dad and I were able to kill/stop/stomp them before anyone was bit, although I was afraid of approaching due to my own fear of being bit. When we reached the room, the people with us started talking about the events that had transpired, but just mainly about how it had been super difficult to tell the zombie from a human. None of them seemed super shocked or anything, and none of them commented about my kicking the zombie down or the mummies. Only one person spoke at a time. The room was almost pitch-black, but I knew I was safe in there.
I woke up before the conversation reached a proper conclusion.
Night of 1/22/2016-1/23/2016
I was with my Concert Orchestra (I’m a member of my high school orchestra, which as three orchestras and soon to be four), but the only person I distinctly remember being present was Ms. Williams (an old, witty, bold, and entertaining woman who will be giving up her position to a new teacher). We were at some kind of museum or art gallery. Then something was stolen from one of the people there and I was sent to recover it. I don’t remember what the stolen item looked like or even was.
I suddenly found myself outside the museum/building. I don’t remember what the building looked like specifically, I just remember it being big and pale grey colored, as if it had a metal plating on the outside. I also don’t remember leaving the building itself. Apparently the area outside was kind of like a desert. I don’t remember what I was wearing (or what any of the other orchestra members were wearing), but I don’t remember the environment affecting me that much at all so it must have protected me somehow (or weather just doesn’t affect me in dreams). I eventually ran into a trio of people in astronaut suits (or something that looked like it could be used in space) who had the item in question (I don’t remember what the item was, I just knew they had it).
All three were male, and the helmets of the suits were open so I could see their faces. They didn’t look like anyone I knew, and I don’t remember the faces very well. They started shooting at me with laser pistols, and I returned fire with a laser pistol of my own that I’d somehow had the whole time. They were able to jump surprisingly high, and fell down more slowly, as if gravity had been reduced. I wasn’t hit in the fight with them. After shooting them down (I don’t specifically remember killing them, but they fell limp and stopped moving. There was no visible damage on the areas that were shot), I picked up the item and returned. Then the Orchestra and I continued along the museum.
The dream ended when we were walking somewhere inside the museum.
EDIT: Added spoilers and paragraph separations to prevent people from being forced to see a Great Wall of
China Text.
