stationary, postal service

I see a lot of papermakers and bookbinders in and around settlements, but no store that sells their wares. Maybe a specialty store for writing supplies wouldn't be a common need in a town that wasn't a center of learning and knowledge, or the seat of civilization's government, or home to a major temple. Perhaps literacy wouldn't be as high, but there would still be a need to send and receive messages between other settlements. They could provide the materials to write messages with, or write them themselves for less literate citizens. They could also provide some of their stock for sale. There would always be some need for local government and merchants to draft official documents.

If we're talking about drafting official documents, that opens the door to forgery as well. (Well, you could do that for non-official documents too).
