Someone posted step by step directions for getting magma moved via hand-carried minecarts just a few days ago.

Have them killed. Nothing solves a problem quite as effectively as simply having it killed.

I personally recommend Design 3: Minimalist magma moving.  It's by far the easiest one.  All you need, bare minimum, is:
  • One nickel or iron minecart (more makes it faster, but one will do)
  • Two magma-safe blocks (can be one of the magma-safe stones, or green glass)
  • Two green glass tubes
  • Two green glass corkscrews

Dig a channel over some magma that you can pump into the minecart-filling chamber, and a second pump to suck the magma out of there so you can get to the minecart(s).  Then haul them to where you want the magma.

ok after thinking about it for a while i figured out a way to get minecarts filled with magma to where i want them
now comes the question of how do i get the magma out of the cart and into the hole?

Assign the minecart to a hauling route that has no track, just a single track stop, already set to dump in the correct direction.  As soon as the minecart is hauled to the track stop, the magma is dumped out in the direction indicated by the track stop.

i now want to make magma furnaces and magma forges
This original objective does not require moving the magma at all. You just build your furnaces and forges 100Z below the surface.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.

my dwarves live 100z above the sea, i want my forges to be near the rest of the fort for efficiency

I find it's a lot simpler to build a fort at the sea than to get the magma up to the near-surface fort. Yes, it's a lot easier when you've just embarked and don't have a fort yet. Still, you could set up a 2-fort system with (pushed for simplicity) minecarts to deliver goods and supplies inbetween.
