Mugs question on 42.04
« on: February 02, 2016, 03:08:06 pm »

I was thinking of stocking my tavern with lead mugs.  Since theyre low value, would they be stolen by visitors less often?  My warriors occasionally use them in battle... would their weight make them superior bludgeoning tools?  Will they give my little dorfs lead poisoning?

Both the 'visitors stealing them' and the 'warriors using them as weapons' things are results of a bug where they forget to put them down after they have picked them up. That bug is fixed in 42.05.

The higher density will indeed make them superior bludgeoning tools; here 'superior' means 'slightly less ineffective'.

There's no lead poisoning (yet...)

For the act of not having your dwarves murder and grievously harm each other with your 'bludgeoning tool' lead cups via tavern brawls, might i suggest preferring lightweight decorated feather-wood/fungi-wood cups as a alternative?

(Hopefully less fatally dangerous than socks)

I will wait until my scholars make a breakthrough in chemistry and I can make SOLO plastic cups.
