I wonder if that suggestion might be problematic...
Why don't we indicate that we have the same goal they have— to make them stronger— and that we can help them accomplish that goal if they give us more of a chance. We can also give their lives meaning and purpose if they'll just hear us out.

: "Warriors, my mission is the same as yours: To improve your strength."
: "Sure it is."
: "Strong goons die more usefully than weak ones!"
: "But he's said nothing malicious..."
: "Other than 'sterling reputation, go die in a fire.'"
: "And 'hurr I'm not gonna murder you all.'"
: "I can assist you in growing stronger much better if you'll give me a chance."
: "He DID make a really good call for leader."
: "He can also dump us in a pit much easier if we give him a chance."
: "But no, I'm sure he wants us stronger just for our sake."
: "If you're going to spout sarcastic bile every time he speaks,
of course you're going to keep assuming the worst."
: "Unless, I dunno, it's because
he's speaking it.": "Really, so you two'll be fine on your own then? I'm sure with no backup and no Servitor support, you'll be set up in no time."
: "No you're right, let's let our sterling reputations get us into a special mission, that'll go much better."
: "Better than dying out here alone? Or no, there's
two of you, that's much safer than a Servitor candy-coating a mission briefing!"
: "JUST so you guys know I'm about to snap."
: "I can also give your lives meaning and purpose if you listen."
: "PFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!"
"..."
: "Hey now, not all cults are
bad cults. Some really do help out."
: "That's... a very good way to look at it. It may sound ominous, but it is true."
((We have two votes to move on, one who will vote with us, and the two rebellious level 2s want to do whatever they think won't end up with us killing them.
We don't need another level-up inducing pep talk.))
... As I was saying, everything is ERROR and you need to find things weak enough to kill, or everything will stay ERROR. Nobody else is coming.

: "Everything is
ERROR: "It will remain
ERROR: "There is no backup, because
ERROR: "..."
: "That is REALLY bad for my calm. I don't even know who I want to beat to death."
: "S-Servitor, are you alright...?"
: "As alright as anything is going to be until you find some things weak enough to kill."
: "Okay wow, that wasn't even us."
: "I didn't even know you could do that."
...
: "Sooooooo..."
: "..."
: "...hey why don't we ask that guy?"
: "THE WHEEL MUST TURN, SEEK OUT NO-NA VILLAGE AND BRING TO IT THE HUNGER OF STONE"
: "So... murder them all?"
: "A WELL MUST BE ALLOWED TO REPLENISH, YET EXISTS ONLY TO BE DRAWN"
: "Yow."
: "Is there anyplace we might go that
does not involve massacring innocent villagers?"
: "Technically we don't actually know they're innocent."
: "We just assume they'd like each other more if they weren't."
: "THE MATRON DWELLS ELSEWHERE BUT WILL NOT FIGHT, WEAKLINGS COWER AROUND IT AS WELL"
: "THERE IS ANOTHER PLACE WITH NOTHING OF VALUE, IT MAY CONTAIN THE FEASTS THAT YOU SEEK"
: "...so a village we might or might not want to murder, an enigmatic entity of dubious origin, or a general weak area with no known landmarks?"
: "CORRECT"
: "If the Matron refuses to fight, perhaps she's an ally?"
: "That is
laughably naive, and I think we should go to the village. It's not like we
have to murder it."
: "STRUGGLE AS YOU MAY, THE WHEEL MUST HUNGER ALWAYS"
: "..."
They seem indecisive. You might be able to nudge them in one direction or another. Or just level them up again. Or use reverse psychology...
They'll also
probably come to a decision on their own if you let them sit.
