What are you doing for Christmas? (2017 edition)
« on: December 24, 2017, 09:15:51 am »

As I did on 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, I want to ask fellow members what they intent to do for today.

Waiting to see if any liquor stores are open, since I forgot to stock up on booze toda-- oh, it's past midnight here. Merry Christmas! :)

But yeah. Gotta get my hands on some Christmas spirits. Hopefully I don't have to resort to plundering my housemates' vodka in my desperate efforts to avoid sobriety on such a day. Maybe I could hit up certain other friends to partake in some Christmas Chronic instead...

Sod all. Might bake something? Been wanting to cook some cinnamon crumble something or another for a while now. May or may not be some family that swings by, I'unno. Probably won't be till monday, regardless. Basically nothing, though. We haven't put up lights or even a tiny symbolic fake tree this year, heh.

Gonna get up early to open a couple small presents with my siblings, go to a church service, snack on some mince pies and unwrap the rest of the presents with the whole family, and chill with the extended fam for lunch. After that it's traditional I finish at least one of the books I get given, but I might break with tradition and game with my brother instead. :P

Socializing with family. Eat well. We aren't going to give each-other presents since its most junk being distributed anyway.

Spending Xmas with my 85 year old grandma at her retirement home, my 65 year old mother who has fallen twice in two days, and my half-blind 65 year old gay uncle.

I’m basically the only healthy person in this group. :/

At least my brother is showing up tomorrow and I won’t be the only one responsible for making sure no one falls again and breaks their hip or face.

I'm going to cook a nice meal, watch a few christmas films and constantly put off phoning relatives to wish them a happy christmas because that always feels really awkward (and there's a very real threat of having to talk to people I really don't want to). Probably read some of the books I know people have bought for me, too.

Hanging out with some of the family, eating food, opening gifts, and not much else.

Ah yes, the insatiable lust of corn and rice, clearly two of the most erotic foods.
