++WARZONE THANATOS++
++Objective Primaris: Settlement Alpha++
With roaring thunder the Astra Militarum usher into reality from the Warp, looming above the death-world Thanatos. The arid, scorching desert planet has three settlements, raised around three of the largest oases on the planet. Now secessionists seek to break from Imperial rule, and the Imperial Guard are called, to bring the Emperor's wrath upon the traitors.
Three Lord-Commanders, Yourmaster, BluarianKnight, and adwarf are deployed with their newly raised regiments. They face off against not only the rebels, but the death world itself.
They are commanded to advance upon the fortress-settlement Alpha. They faced an arduous trek across kilometers of unforgiving desert, to meet the supremely fortified settlement, originally armed to protect against the mega-fauna that frequently raids the settlement.
The three regiments have bases set up on the north (Yourmaster), west (BluarianKnight), and south (adwarf) of the settlement.
The siege begins. Glory to the first man to die!

Fortress-settlement Alpha
The traitorous settlement is rife with hordes of rebels and scum. They are poorly armed with autoguns and a few frag grenades, while armored with effectively nothing.
The fortress itself is surrounded by towering walls, fortified and sanctified by hostage Tech-Priests. Gun emplacements and turrets decimate any that get too close.
The settlement is also surrounded by a huge pit, filled with the ravenous local predators known as Bonerippers.
Most of the day is blistering hot; overexertion can quickly cause exhaustion and fatigue for both sides. The night is very cold, and also when the Bonerippers, nocturnal scorpion-esque creatures, begin their hunt.
The sand is equally deadly; there are numerous pitfalls and nests where predators drag their victims in. Aside from a few rocky formations, there isn't much place to hide.
Sometimes, giant creatures will lumber pass, drawn by the fighting and the water in settlement Alpha's oasis.
