How to Drink from Well? / Why is the ocean Frozen?

Started playing adventure mode again with the new version, and decided to fill my my bag with water, but the river was frozen.  I found my way to a well and cant figure out how to get water from it.

Also, in trying to find water, I found out that the entire ocean is frozen.

Stand besides the well, press "u", lower bucket, press "u", raise bucket, press "I", choose waterskin, fill with water from bucket.

The ocean is frozen because your adventurer touched themself at night... no but really it's just how that part of the world is.

You mean fill with ice from bucket, then start a campfire to thaw it.

If necessary, you can also do this with snow! Put the snow in a suitable container first, though, or it'll just fall on the ground.
