HOPEFULLY DECENT INTRODUCTION TEXT!

In the beginning the divines created the world and many creatures to inhabit it, the divines agreed that all was well yet that something was missing. None of them could determine just what was absent until Arton the mightiest of the divines molded dirt and dust together to create a strangely shaped statue, then he gave it life and created many more just like it. Arton dubbed the first race to be Humans and with their strong minds they quickly overtook much of the world and hailed Arton as their Immortal King. Then the other divines took inspiration and created their own Races although none were as balanced in their attributes as Humans.

Soon the entire world was populated by the Races and all were happy and content, except for one. Niklon, the lowest of the divines was not strong enough to create his own people so he decided to take away the other Races so that all would feel his frustration. Niklon created Death and brought it down upon all living creatures, now their days were limited and all living things now had to constantly work to stave off their inevitable fate. Some creatures were strong enough to defeat old age, such as the Elves and the Dragons, angering Niklon. Upon realizing the mortality of their people the divines created many afterlives for their followers to enjoy for eternity once they died and couldn't live on in the world, Niklon saw this and out of spite he inspired the Races of the world to slaughter one another in war, hastening their fate.

The other divines were very mad about this so they banished Niklon to the Void where he would never be able to meddle in mortal affairs again, or so they thought. Arton, out of a sense of fairness moved to his afterlife preferring to live on in Humanity's heart through Prophets and Priests, rather than wander the world himself. The other divines followed his example and soon the mortal Races were left to fend for themselves.

After a few millenia the stories of the divines were mythologized and as the number of mortals in the afterlife increased, one by one the divines began to cease caring about the world, so long as the mortals worshiped them. Slowly the amount of miracles in the world decreased until countless cults and sects plagued mortal-kind, beginning to worship false divines and lesser spirits, only those few who still followed the old ways went on to the divine afterlives, all of the rest were reincarnated into the world to live their short meaningless lives all over again. Only those whose followers couldn't die of old age still cared about mortals and over time they dissipated into spiritual energies that the mortals still worship, this happened to Ipporlith, the former goddess of the Elves. Others, like Kurnod the Dragon god simply adopted other mortal Races and grew apathetic as well. A few of the divines still disliked being blasphemed against so they created the first vampires and lycanthropes out of annoyance.

All the while Niklon watched the world decay into a stagnant and endless repetitive cycle thanks to his own actions. Niklon slowly grew to hate the divines and all living things, he began to plan a way to end all life in the world so that he could satiate his rage. Eventually mortals learned to use divine energy themselves, discovering magic, becoming the first Wizards and Sorcerors. Largely thanks to the innate desire for conquest the Humans advanced technologically, as a result no other Races could truly resist them and many Human-led Kingdoms and Empires came to dominate the world, a few of the other Races eventually managed to adopt Human technology and create their own homelands but they were few and far in between.

Over time Niklon finally managed to gather enough power to speak to a single power-hungry Human Wizard known as Balthaghast the Grand. Niklon showed him the secrets of life and death in exchange for his eternal fealty. Balthaghast became the first Necromancer and he immediately went to the nearest graveyard and reanimated himself a soulless horde of walking corpses, making the first Undead.  They were undying, unthinking, and unstoppable, worst of all they actually spread death! A single bite or scratch from one could spread the Undeath curse increasing the horde's numbers every battle. In the face of such a foe entire. Century old empires crumbled within mere months. Once Balthaghast toppled a few cilvilizations he attained the status of Lichhood, becoming Immortal, yet already dead.

Over time it became clear that Balthaghast couldn't conquer the entire world himself Niklon showed other mortals the secrets of necromancy, furthering his twisted goals. When central Human authority collapsed Races that had been enslaved for millenia were finally freed, not knowing how advanced technology functioned they became barbaric nomads, adding wandering savage hordes of Orks, Gnolls, Goblins and other downtrodden monstrous humanoids to the chaos. After a few decades worldwide civilization has collapsed and the few determined remnants of survivors are slowly losing ground. Out of these monstrous Races some few were considered worthy to learn the art of Necromancy from Nilkon, others just taught themselves out of a desire for worldly power. Ozzboth'wrathborn is a prime example of a self taught Necromancer.

NOW THAT THE INTRO IS OUT OF THE WAY, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

DAY ONE

In the far northern Taiga, where the Undead haven't spread much some semblance of civilization is able to eke out a living, Humans were once the dominant Race in this region of the world but are now something of a minority due to vengeful Barbarian Tribes. One Ork tribe, The Jagged Teeth, claims almost 30 tribe members, led by a particularly large Ork named Greltchin. One day, 15 years ago a small Ork baby appeared outside of Greltchin's tent, wrapped in a blanket. Greltchin did what any normal Ork would have done, He enslaved the baby and used it for backbreaking labor once it was old enough to walk. They were savage Orks, not semi-civilized Orcs, after all. There's a huge difference.

Once the baby was old enough to speak coherently he named himself Ozzboth'wrathborn, a name that he thought fit the circumstances of his birth and the resulting mental instability from years of abuse. When Ozzboth grew older it became clear that he was a scrawny runt, sparking bullying from the Tribe that continued for years. He was beaten frequently as a sort of tribal pastime, giving him numerous scars. Most people would have broken under the pressure but instead, Ozzboth developed an Ironclad Will and was able to shrug it off. Over time, it became clear to Ozzboth that he was never going to escape the Tribe, as he was fairly clumsy and was unable to hide himself in the woods. After being beaten for several escape attempts Ozzboth ceased trying and he began to crave power, the power to force others to do his bidding and to become mightier than all other Orks.

One day when he was 11, Ozzboth was out in the woods digging a pit to serve as the Tribe bathroom for the week when he felt a strange feeling in the bottom of his stomach. He kept digging and saw something strange, a book. Ozzboth picked it up and would have used it for kindling to stave off frostbite but felt that he shouldn't. Ozzboth examined the book, it was black and leather-bound, the inside pages were filled with strange writing and symbols, and on the front of the book a drawing of a skull marked it's purpose. The Tribe Shaman had taught all of the young Orks some basic Orkish Runes but Ozzboth didn't recognize any of the writing, realizing that it must have been some kind of spell-book Ozzboth vowed to learn to read it in an attempt to gain it's power. During the dead of night he would sit next to the campfire and pore over the manuscript, at first he couldn't make sense of it but slowly his mind began to recognize the meaning of the writing. Within a few months he learned to read it's strange language.

The book taught him the basic foundation of the arts of Necromancy and he began to gain magical power. Once, when he was 13 he tried to cast a basic spell on a squirrel he was tasked with spit-roasting, muttering an incantation he pointed his finger at the carcass shooting a bolt of black energy that rotted the flesh off of the squirrel's bones. Afterward he felt more tired than he ever had but upon realizing what he had done, he became ecstatic. With this breakthrough the rest of the book's power came to him easily, and by the time he was 15 he had become a competent practitioner of the dark arts. Today Ozzboth'wrathborn has decided that he is ready to challenge Greltchin for the right to lead the Tribe. He's standing in the middle of the Campsite next to one of the cooking fires, the tents are scattered haphazardly and the only thing marking Greltchin's tent as special is the wooden pole with a skull outside of it. It's early morning, How should Ozzboth'wrathborn go about freeing himself?

Raise any dead bodies around the camp. Use a graveyard if they have one. Make them focus on Greltchin's tent. We could also reanimate the skull and keep it as a pet!

Remember, there's a huge difference between Orks and Orcs.
