Today, I am making a new succession game based in an evil tundra, with a twist: no tools (other than an anvil) . Yup, the dwarves are going to have to survive in the rough environment, fending off against hordes of zombies and dying of cold for about a month before finally getting dumped into a hole for the rest of their lives. The build is going to be based on the Wiki Minmax build, with a few of my additions (+WOOD DEFINITELY WOOD). It will be finished by about 20th of November, ready for the next person.

Also, I will need two things that I want the general community to decide:

1. The theme of the fort (eg. Drunk Fortress, but something else)

2. The name of it

Put me in, this sounds like my normal embarks.

cassiterite+malachite for a bronze. 

or go for a longer route bismuth bronze from bars
cassiteite+tetrahedrite(free silver)+bismuth.

10 bars = 1 full armor set: mail shirt(2), helm, gauntlet, high boots, greaves(2), and breastplate(3).
Actually, mail shirt(2), helm, and high boots are enough initially.

For evil biomed, +1 Discipline and +1 Weapon/Miner skill is worth the 5 embark points investment each.
And +1 Armor User for the commander.

Theme: Military Fort
Name: Bloodboil

Other than nobles, have 1 "master" for each industry, the rest goes to military.
I dare say Male Dwarf = melee squads, Female = marksdwarves / fortress guards.

80+ str: mace or hammer
60+ str: axe or sword
below 60: spear or miner

So yeah...

I kind of like Sancutme's idea of a military fort (I've never had one before), so that's pretty much going to be it.

I forgot to say, I won't be having any starting weapons/military skills . This is pretty much suicide, but I do want a challenge.
For the pickaxe crafting, I'll try bism. bronze, but after I fail a few embarks, I'll probably go back to the good ol' tetrahedrite .
Most of the actual military making will probably go to Sancume, since he seems to know a bit about it
(and also since my year will be pretty much stabilizing the entire thing). I'll have a lot to do, especially as aquifers are a bitch to breach.

Just a suggestion: the new version sounds like it will come out in about a month. It will probably have a few major bugs, but they should be cleared up pretty quickly.  You'll probably get a lot more interest in the game if you wait until after new update.

In the mean time though, I'll take a turn and a dwarf.
