Force barony?
« on: October 08, 2015, 10:06:35 pm »

Hi all,

If there is already a thread on this please let me know.

My fortress lost their baron and I am attempting to get a new one.  I am aware that if a baron dies a new one cannot be appointed, but I'm wondering if there are any possible workarounds for this.  I will confess that my knowledge of modding and coding for Dwarf Fortress is next to none.

Any help that can be provided would be most welcomed!

Thanks!

What version is it? In the most recent version when a baron dies then one of their children is made baron, or in the absence of children, I think it's a random dwarf. I'm not sure why you're posting this in modding either, this would fit in better in the fortress mode discussion.

Its a feature. Impregnating booze is a planned tech tree for dwarves and this is a sneak peek at it.
Unless you're past reproductive age. Then you're pretty much an extension of your kids' genitalia

Current version.  I'll go ahead and re-post the question over there if that's the more appropriate place.  Thanks!
