LCS: Crime Drama

Leroy Pickett, a 20 year old male, followed this man he'd hardly known before last week, into the back alley. He sat and waited quietly while the man unlocked the back door to the garment factory. "They're gonna be watching out because they recognized us last time. That's why I brought this," the man pulled out a .45 pistol, "I don't really plan to use it, but it's a good idea to have it, right?"

The man's name was Dale Seay. He was a few years older than Leroy, and he'd just gotten out of college. Ever since he'd gotten out, he'd been going after the conservatives in whatever way he could. One of his favorite past times was breaking into the garment factory to steal and destroy things, and the past few nights he'd brought Leroy along. Last time they'd been there, a security guard had tried to halt them. They narrowly escaped. Dale was right to be worried, as on the last attempt the guard had actually drawn a pistol.

Dale swung open the door and motioned Leroy inside. The hallway was dark and pitifully dirty, but there wasn't much to expect from a garment factory. The duo walked down the dreary hallway into a small room with a vending machine and a few tools laid out on a table. Dale ran over to the table and quickly threw them into his backpack, then motioned for Leroy to follow him down the next hallway.

There was a man smoking inside the room, so the pair waited until he was finished and left before they entered. This was the room where they stored sewing machines. There must have been about 20 of them laying on the table. Dale looked at Leroy. "Let's make some fucking noise." he said.

Dale took a wrench from his backpack and started hammering on a sewing machine, and Leroy threw another into a wall. Then he pitched one to Dale, who hit it like a baseball and split it in half. Leroy dumped a few on the ground and he and Dale began jumping on them and stomping about on the pile. They could hear a commotion down the hallway, but continued anyway. Leroy grabbed up a sewing machine and whipped it at the door just as it opened. The sewing machine hit a security guard square in the face, sending him to the ground.

The security guard just behind him looked at the pair of boys, then down at the other security guard, and put his hand to his side. He was reaching for his gun. Leroy could feel his insides melt. Then all of a sudden there was a humongous BANG. The security guard dropped to the floor, clutching at a wound in his stomach. Leroy felt Dale grab his arm, and heard him yell, "Run!".

The two bolted down the hallways and out the back entrance. They fled through the alleyways and didn't stop running until they were back at the apartments. They sat down on a bench outside, and relaxed. They looked at each other and laughed. They'd gotten back at the man.

Just a short story about a non-important event that happened in Liberal Crime Squad.
