A few thoughts on Metallurgist & Crucible
« on: September 25, 2015, 09:36:35 pm »

Metallurgist: I find it unusual that creating bars out of stone yields 4x more than creating bars out of other bars.  For that matter, isn't the whole point of the Ore Processor to make Ore Stones more efficient?  I do like that the bar reactions which have no corresponding ore produce a greater yield (except for steel, getting 2 bars for the cost of 1 is fine, b/c steel).

Crucible: The 'Extract' reactions seem kinda useless compared to the Metallurgist.  So far as I can tell, 3 input bars nets 2 output bars.  What I am seeing in the Products is 'Bars, Bars (50), Bars (10)'.  Similarly, the 'Efficient Bars' reaction makes Metallurgist obsolete, at least so far as steel & bronze are concerned.

I can see what you're trying to accomplish with these, and I really like the idea of working your way up the chain (especially for stuff like rose gold).  Few things;

-Consolidate the reactions across these 2 workshops
-Fix the output numbers list, would be nice to see input numbers as well
-Increase the variety of items needed to build the Workshops.  For the power they provide, building them is far too easy
