For all of us who sport or used to sport guitar nails, whether as a fashion statement or for functionality, post here and show your pride in your guitar nails!

Guitar nails are for classical guitarists or people who pick with their fingers. Your left hand's nails are cut very short so you can work the fretboard easier, and your right hand's nails are semi-long to pluck the strings with a clear sound. Without the right nails long, you can end up with a dampened sound.

I mostly finger-pic but I can't stand having "guitar nails". On acoustic I usually play bronze, not nylon, so if I get a dampened sound I can live.
