Hi everyone!

I started a tutorial series, because everyone needs to know how to play this awesome game! My videos are pretty short and tend to focus on a single subject, going in depth where needed. I wanted to get multiple episodes done before I shared it with anyone, so there's 13 ready to watch right now!

Please let me know what you think, and let me know if there's a specific topic you want me to cover. Right now I'm just going over things as they bleed from one to another, but if there's something specific I can go into depth on, let me know!

My plan is to make this a "living" series, updated regularly with both me just playing the game and talking about things specifically requested by the community, breaking down episodes into topics. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks! I definitely used C.Duck's tutorials when I first started. He helped so many people understand DF and I hope to continue the tradition.

Oh, DF Tutorials are never too much! The game is pretty complex per see, and as versions come and go, things change, so it's good to see someone doing new tuts. I'll watch yours as soon as I can to see how you're covering things. =)

A suggestion: give some cover to DFHack commands, scripts and plugins, there's not a whole lot of tutorial covering to it, although it's a pretty damn useful tool to manage advanced forts and to improve general game performance.

Good advice, thanks! The way I'm structuring the tutorials right now, is trying to cover the basics before jumping into things like Workflow and other things that make life easier. I want the foundation of understanding to be really solid, just in case the hacks and shortcuts ever fail. But I will absolutely go in-depth in those.

New episode is up and added to the first post! Episode 14 deals with the basics of Construction, including me fumbling around trying to build floors when the dwarves don't have access. Classic stuff!
