Well that is quite weird. Did your Dwarves go insane or do they regularly murder each other?

Not long ago, my broker threw a tantrum while he was walking past the barracks to the entrance.  Apparently this disturbed the legendary swordsdwarf who responded by killing him.  The legendary axedwarf who witnessed the scene took offense and attacked the swordsdwarf, and the swordsdwarf responded by slaying him as well.

Also they tamed a camel with a fish.  That amused me.

Mine were eaten by a giant leech with wings and webs, as sacrificial bait to get them to stand underneath what I christened "The doom plug"

Not technically one of mine, but a caravan guard just got both of his hands pulped trying to wrestle a badger instead of stabbing it with his perfectly serviceable steel shortsword. Maybe he was trying to pet it.

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.
