Dangerous terrain after a magma spill
« on: August 15, 2015, 04:17:35 pm »

Hi,

I recently had an accidental intentional spill redirect of magma that partially flooded a small portion of my fortress, about 15 tiles. I closed the floodgates and stopped the magma and waited for it to dry up.

The issue is that now the dwarves won't path across the old terrain, they call it "dangerous". They won't dig it, channel it, smooth it, or pickup items surrounded by these tiles. I would like to rebuild this area (it was a magma cistern for dumping garbage). What can I do about this "dangerous terrain"

Regards.

Temperature is turned off so tiles will never cool.
I don't know how to turn on temperature.

It was temperature. I had turned it off on the LNB screen. I turned it back on and now everything works. FYI, it dropped my framerate from 89 to 41...
