Trolls are both BD's and swimmers.  So long as you don't turtle I guess they will just try and path through your fort normally though (taking shortest route).

The simple and fertile way to empty out small lakes that I use- just pump that shit into a raised large open area. The large surface area will facilitate evaporation.
Its just a little mud, right?
